The Cottage at Disley Hall Farm. (Formerly listed - 27/11/1963 as The Hall)

Formerly farmhouse now 2 houses: C17 core altered and adapted C18 and C19: Washed, coursed sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings and a Kerridge stone-slate roof with 2 stone and I brick chimneys. Long rectangular downhill plan, originally with an upper houses with rear, lateral, fireplace and a shippon at the lower end, later adapted into 3 houses. Asymmetrical 2-storey, 7-bay front. 4 bays to left are 2, 2-unit houses with C19 wooden casements (one with the remains of a hood mould) with similar windows in half dormers above. Plain doorcases. 3 bays to right have central door at first floor level reached by external stone stairs, flanked by 8-pane horizontal sliding sashes and a blocked 2-light splayed mullion window in ground floor to the left and 3-light central sliding sash to the right. The left gable end has a 4-light rebated splayed mullion window (only one mullion survives) and to the rear the original chimney is gabled and has the remains of a cyma-moulded mullion and transomed window. Interior: No original features survive.
