Summary

Grade II listed farmhouse. It is dated 1695 with 18th and late 19th century additions and alterations. It is built of coursed squared sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings. It has a welsh slate roof and two brick chimneys.

Full Description

Farmhouse: dated 1695 with C18 and late C19 additions and alterations. Coursed squared sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings. Welsh slate roof and two brick chimneys. Core is a two-room parlour wing of an L-shaped plan, with additions to south and west sides. Gabled front with kneelers, bead-moulded coping and ball finial. Four-light rubble stone, chamfered mullioned window with hood mould to rear, and similar three-light to left suggest form of the original. Original, but moved, moulded stone doorcase with raised centre has dated inscription. Interior: Original plan survives with parlour to front, larder to rear, two rooms above. Dogleg stairwell reveals some timber-framed partitioning and original six-panelled door. Ovolo-moulded beam and corner fireplace in parlour (1).
