Full Description
Farmhouse: dated 1695 with C18 and late C19 additions and alterations. Coursed squared sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings. Welsh slate roof and two brick chimneys. Core is a two-room parlour wing of an L-shaped plan, with additions to south and west sides. Gabled front with kneelers, bead-moulded coping and ball finial. Four-light rubble stone, chamfered mullioned window with hood mould to rear, and similar three-light to left suggest form of the original. Original, but moved, moulded stone doorcase with raised centre has dated inscription. Interior: Original plan survives with parlour to front, larder to rear, two rooms above. Dogleg stairwell reveals some timber-framed partitioning and original six-panelled door. Ovolo-moulded beam and corner fireplace in parlour (1).
