Full Description
Monksheath Hall, Chelford Road. Farmhouse, 17th century with major mid-late 19th century rebuild and some 20th century alterations. Brick on sandstone plinth with sandstone quoins. Stone-slate roof. Three-gabled east front of which only right gable is of original fabric. This has a blocked chamfered wooden mullion window. In remainder, much of the plinth survives, but brickwork replaced and some Victorian timber framing in the gables. The farmhouse is on the site of a grange of the Abbey of Dieulacres, Leek, Staffordshire. Full architectural description (1).
