Full Description
Hunter's Pool Farmhouse, Shaws Lane. An Estate farm of Mottram Hall. C17 origins, major addition dated 1722 and rebuilding of timber framed portion of late C19. Brick on rubble sandstone plinth. Stone-slate roof. L-shaped plan. Five-bay east front. Left three bays on lines of earlier timber framed house. Right two bays under a gable with brick bands at first and second floors. Wooden mullioned and transomed windows in each storey. Heavy roof timbers project at gable. Datestone reads 'HSC 1722'. Rear shows some timber framing. Full architectural description (1).
