Full Description
Lower Marton Farmhouse, Davenport Lane. Mid-late 17th century. Timber framed with rendered brick infill and brick with stone slate roof. Originally of two cells. North front - rendered plinth. First floor slightly overhanging with ovolo-moulded bressumer. First floor posts at corner project down to the ground floor. Small framing to first floor of 11 x 2 cells with angle braces. Lefthand end - small framing, also brickwork with painted, simulated timbering. South front - brick ground floor and projecting wing to left. Much simulated, painted timber framing to first floor but 3 x 2 cells at left are original. Full architectural description (1).
