Full Description
Foxwood Farmhouse, Garden Wall and Gate Piers. Mid to late 17th century with 18th century portion. Brick with slate roof. T-shaped plan with the mid-late 17th century portion to the downstroke. Entrance front is 18th century with three bays symmetrically disposed. Date stone reads "This House/was Built By/John and Ann/Wright 1762". Attached to the front is a garden wall forming a roughly rectangular enclosure. Stone gate piers opposite front door. Rear: mid-late 17th century wing adjoins the centre of the 1762 addition. Stone plinth, 6 x 3 cells of small framing with angle and tension braces. Full architectural description (1).
