Full Description
<1> Various, Various, Oral communication to the HER, Turner RC, 23/09/1988 (Oral Communication). SCH2330.
A sub-circular enclosure on a false crest between the woodland and road. Eastern edge marked by E-shaped lynchet which turns on the western side into the lip of a platform. Passage out to north-west and slight suggestion of internal banks in western half. Inside the field wall to the north is a substantial ditch running down the hill. Enclosure measures 40m north-south and 36m east-west. Form of site is similar to a small settlement found elsewhere in the Pennines.
