Full Description
A drum of a Roman column was recorded some 55m west of Bridge Street and 20m north of Commonhall Street to the rear of now 12-22 Commonhall Street (then the premises of Messrs G & W Collins) in 1951. The drum itself was 1.6m in length and 0.6m in diameter however it was found lying in disturbed ground. The drum was subsequently transferred to the Roman Gardens. (2)
