Full Description
Broad Oak Farm, Peacocks Lane. Late 17th century house with early 19th century additions. Brick with stone dressings and stone slate roof. Entrance front - 17th century portion has strong courses of moulded bricks between floors. Stone copings and kneelers to gable. 19th and 20th century portions to right. Full architectural description (1). A possible moat has been identified & a number of features, including a duck pond may formerly have been linked. The surviving fabric suggets the site may originally have been a semi- fortified manor (2).
