41 (Foxholes) Buxton Old Road. House: Core C16/C17 with C18 alterations. Rendered sandstone rubble with black painted stone dressings. Graduated Kerridge stone-slate roof. One-and-a-half storey, symmetrical, three-bay front. Three-light square sectioned mullioned windows with small pane in casements below. Two- light above. Central C20 porch carries inscribed stone reading M 1547 E which may suggest original date
