Full Description
Little Orchard, Holmes Chapel Road. House. Dated on gable end bressumer with initials 'EB + 1667 XC WO'. Timber framed with rendered and whitewashed infill and slate roof (probably originally thatched). Entrance front: projecting gable to left originally of 4 x 3 cells with angle braces. V-strut to gable. Range to left of 6 x 3 cells of small framing with angle braces. Gabled dormers to first floor and timber-framed gables. Righthand gable end: timber framing with angle braces to corners. Inscribed bressumer above carrying Queen-post truss and V-strut to gable. 20th century range to right with simulated timber framing.
