Gate piers: later seventeenth century for Thomas Stanley. Ashlar buff sandstone. Chamfered rustication on a square body with eight raised bands. Projecting moulded capstone has a ball finial on a shaped curved stand. Between the piers are a pair of twentieth century wrought iron gates. These gate piers belong to the rebuilding of the Old Hall from c.1660 and were to an existing brick walled garden.
