Summary

Grade II listed barn at Rainowlow Farmhouse. It was built in the 17th century with 18th century additions to the left and a continuous 19th century outshut (extension to the main building) to the rear. The original part is built of dry stone buff sandstone rubble with projecting through stones. It has a stone-slate roof. There are square pitch holes and a line of ventilation slots in the walls.

Full Description

Barn at Rainowlow Farmhouse. C17 with C18 additions to left and C19 continuous outshut to rear. Original part of dry stone buff sandstone rubble with projecting through stones. Stone-slate roof. Long low building. East front has central door under wooden lintel with projecting rubble course above. Two square pitch holes to either side and a line of ventilation slots. Doors are both ends - at left end door is under a rough stone lintel (1).
