Full Description
No.4 Clarke Lane (Briar Cottage). Formerly two cottages, now a house. Dated 1630 on deeds. Coursed buff sandstone. Stone-slate roof and two brick chimneys. Two-storey, three-bay front with two bays to the right projecting slightly. Chamfered stone mullioned windows. C19 board door in reveal to left of blocked original. Quatrefoil iron tieplate carries painted date (1).
