Two sculptured gravestones 'of unusually small size & of early Norman or even more ancient date', ploughed up in a field near Disley Church. They are at present in the garden of a cottager at High Lane (or Hoo Lane) on the Buxton Road c.5 miles from Stockton (Area SJ 955853) (1).
