Full Description

Formerly stables and barn, now garage and billiard room: late sixteenth century origins, walls mainly rebuilt in the eignhteenth century and with twentieth century alterations. Partial stone plinth. Flemish bond red brick with some yellow headers and some brick work in irregular bond Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge. Long rectangular plan. Six large openings below and three square pitchholes above. Left gable has complete small timber framing with angle braces to tiebeam with two diagonal struts. Interior: Building tied internally with horizontal timbers. Roof trusses of tiebeam and two diagonal struts throughout and windbraced overlapping through purlins and ridge.
