Summary

Large, grade II listed house. Dated around 1790 though it may have earlier, 16th century origins. A new façade was added in 1840 and it underwent extensive restoration in the 1950's.

Prestbury Hall, the Village. Large house, possibly sixteenth century origins. House c.1790 with new facade c.1840 and restoration of c.1950. Stuccoed brick on grey sandstone plinth. Hipped stone-slate roofs. Three storey symmetrical five-bay front. End bays step forward and have bolection moulded panels between windows. Above the top window is a fan lunette. Central bays have a projecting solid porch with a simple architrave and a semi-circular headed entrance approached by four steps. Eaves carried on wooden brackets. Interior: Georgian in plan but decorations and fittings of 1950 restoration. Full architectural description
