Full Description
Oaklands, Fulshaw Park South. Formerly farmhouse, now house. 17th century with later 19th century additions and alterations. Timber framed with brick nogging on ashlar stone plinth. Stone slate roof. Three bay front. 9 x 3 regular timber small frames with angle bracing of the wall plate. Right end bay projects forward under gable. Herringbonning in use in the gable. Major brick extensions to rear are painted with false timber framing. Interior: chamfered ceiling beams survive. Full architectural description (1).
