Full Description
Goldstraw Farmhouse. Barn adjoining to the north-west of Goldstraw Farmhouse. Formerly Ness Manor. Early C17 with later alterations and additions.Earliest portion with two-light stone mullioned windows in attic; three-light at first floor and small windows (now bricked-up) each side at ground floor. Later portion in brown brick. Interior: doors with four fielded panels at ground and first floors. Original staircase with close string, square balusters, moulded rail and square newels, up to second floor. Roll edge beam over wide fireplace at ground floor. C17 Barn. Brown brick, sandstone at base. Original King-post trusses. Modern tile roof (1).
