Summary

Grade II listed 17th century house, now very much altered but incorporating 14th century crucks. At first floor in interior are two cruck timbers converging towards the apex, though one is now cut away (for the staircase). A cruck is a beam used in timber framing. Two curved timbers that are cut from the same tree, are used to support a roof, from floor to apex.
