Summary

Grade II listed house. Built in the 17th century with later alterations. It is a two storey cottage block of brick on a sandstone plinth, all now colourwashed. There are associated former farm buildings to the rear, one of which has a Cruck beam. A Cruck is a beam used in timber framing. Two curved timbers that are cut from the same tree, are used to support a roof, from floor to apex.

Full Description

C17 with alterations. Two storey cottage block of brick with sandstone plinth, all now colourwashed. Four C19 casement windows, those to ground storey with transomes, plain stop window on loft with modern glazing. Two plain doorways with ledged doors. Slates. Two and one storey (former farm) buildings of red sandstone at rear with slate roofs (1). Cruck in barn near back door (2).
