Full Description

Farmhouse, now bank and house. Dated 1616; nineteenth and twentieth century alterations. Possibly timber-framed, now roughcast on brick; slate roof with coped gables and rendered stacks.
EXTERIOR: two-storey, four-bay front, jettied at first floor and with cross gabled left end bay. single-storey square porch extension in angle with cross gable has panelled door; house door further right is glazed and panelled. Windows generally are ten by ten sashes, two on first floor in gabled half dormers; one half dormer being twelve panes with four-pane wing light. Over house door is glazed oculus. Tablet in cross gable is dated and inscribed `A.E.'. On left return is full-height external stack. Lower parallel wing added to rear produces a double depth plan.
INTERIOR: exposed ceiling beams and joists, curved fire beam. Doors on strap hinges.

Seventeenth century farmhouse with a plate in the west gable which gave, prior to an incorrect restoration, the date 1661 and the initials WK, believed to be William Kelsall. The house was occupied as a farmhouse until 1912, when it became multiple residences, with part used as a bank up to 1995. Farm buildings converted to houses c.1997.

Seventeenth century brick farm outbuilding with slate roof and round openings at loft level. The roof needs some repair and the bricks require repainting. It is generally in fair condition. This building can be seen from the green and helps to create the feeling of enclosure. It is at present Grade III and may be considered worth relisting at Grade II.

Farm building. Mid eighteenth century with nineteenth and twentieth century alterations. Brown brick in English garden-wall bond, part rendered; slate roof with coped gables.
EXTERIOR: single storey with loft; five-bay range. Half heck doors, two with shallow arched heads, one with stone lintel, all with hinge and latch blocks. Breathers in diamond pattern between three large circular pitch holes and one altered window at loft level.
INTERIOR: roof frame supported by cross walls with large semicircular headed openings at loft level.

This map depicts the farmhouse with an L-shaped range of farm buildings to the north.

This map depicts the farmhouse to the north is an east-west aligned rectangular farm building. At its eastern end, joined by a covered access between, is a north-south aligned rectangular farm building. The two buildings form a T shape. A further east-west aligned L-shaped building lies to the immediate north.
