Full Description
Roman looped stud, copper alloy. Concave circular boss on flat backing but probably circular originally. Attached to centre of back is right angled pin. Plate 2.6cm x 2.2cm. Surviving length of pin 1.9cm. A complete example from Corbridge shows that this originally consisted of twin conjoined bosses with a shaft linking the rear of both. Found 1987 (1).
