A sandstone head of a man with hands raised to touch cheeks, found in the Widnes area. Now in Liverpool Museum, it is 28cm high and 18.5cm wide.

Celtic sandstone Head found in a garden in Widnes. It is a head of a man with his hands raised to touch his cheeks (one hand has broken off). Dimensions are 28cm high and 18.5cm wide. Has classically ‘Celtic’ eyes but is Medieval in the rest of its appearance. The other noticeable feature of this head is its gaping mouth. Thought to be 1st to 2nd century BC.
