Summary

Grade II* listed building was formerly a rectory and is now a private house. It is a very fine symmetrical brown brick facade with stone dressings in ornate Baroque style added around 1700 to a mid 17th century building. The interior is also of later period but some features, including a staircase, are earlier.

Full Description

The Manor House, No. 21 Church End. Formerly a rectory, now private house. Very fine symmetrical brown brick facade with stone dressings in ornate Baroque style added c.1700 to a mid C17 building. Interior also of later period but some features, including a staircase, are earlier (1). Ref 1 gives NGR as SJ 4707 8222, but building is actually at SJ 4709 8218.
