Summary

A Wesleyan chapel was opened in Audlem during 1833, but a growing congregation meant thet is wasn't big enough and in 1863 a plot of land, located on Shropshire Street, was donated for the erection of a new chapel. In the 1940s an extension was built, in order to house a Sunday School.

Full Description

A Wesleyan chapel was opened in Audlem during 1833, and located on Stafford Street, this building however, was soon to prove inadequate for the needs of the growing congregation. In 1863 a plot of land, located on Shropshire Street, was donated for the erection of a new chapel, which opened in 1863. During the 1940s an extension was built, in order to house a Sunday School (1).
