Full Description
A badly abraded piece of the footring of a highly-fired Samian dish of form Dr 18/31, produced at Les Martres-de-Veyre in central Gaul c AD 100- 120. The surfaces of the sherd are mostly missing. Two other sherds are both very abraded and in a soft, sandy, coarse, orange fabric. Possibly products of the Wilderspool kilns and of second century AD date (Hartley & Webster 1973, 79 & 91). Found during NWWS fieldwork. (1)
