Full Description

Dam at the western end of Crewe Hall lake, built across the Englesea Brook. Dam collapsed in 1941 and the lake was drained. Earthwork dam still survives within woodland.

The Lake drained away in 1971 when the dam collapsed.

In 1941 the lake was drained after the dam gave way, and its area is now planted with mature poplars.
