Roman trumpet brooch with prominent knobbed moulding on outer side of bow just below the crest. Pin and part of catch-plate missing. Length 3.8 cms. Second century form. Found with other objects from ploughed fields in March 1996. In possession of finder. Handed into Salt Museum for identification (1). Photograph in SMR.
