Full Description
Built in 1867, on the inside loop of the railway, when the Chester & Holyhead line was diverted from Old Works (SJ 708 554). Long ranges of brick built workshops along the line, used as joiners, millwrights electrical and machine shops of the Grand Junction Railway, later LNWR, then BR. Tall octagonal chimney at the east end, cast iron water tank on tall red and blue brick arches at the west (Flag Lane) end (1). Now demolished (2).
