This was the site of a windmill, built before 1580 and then blown down in a gale around 1850. The site is on rising ground north of Crewe Road, which was apparently previously known as Windmill Lane.

The site of a windmill built before 1580 and blown down in a gale c. 1850. The site is on rising ground north of Crewe Road (1). According to Hall (2), Crewe Road was previously known as Windmill Lane.
