Full Description
Roman coin found with a metal detector in a field NE of the medieval chapel at Egerton Hall. Reported to Liverpool Museum in November 1991. The coin is an orichalcum sestertius of Trajan, minted AD 114- 117. The surface is pitted, black patination covers all the surface except for small patches where the golden metal shows through.
