Full Description
Willaston Old Hall - Small area to south of east arm of moat ditch was cleaned. Revealed a leat running NW/SE towards the moat ditch. This may have acted as an inlet to the moat ditch. To the west was a sub-rectangular spread of greyish-black silt, at the base of which was a black stain in the shape of a shoe sole (1).
