Full Description
There is a reference in the Cholmondeley Deeds in 1709 to windmill and watermill at Cholmondeley, but no specific location is given (1). There are references to a 'le Mulnefeld' (Mill Field), 'molendinum de Chelmundelegh' (?Cholmondeley Mill?) and 'molendinum ventriticum' (?Wind Mill?) dating from the thirteenth century and 'Cholmondeley Mills' from the late seventeenth century (2).
