Monument record 2067/1/2 - Timber Road near Marbury Mere

Two sections were cut aross a timber road or roads, laid across peaty ground near Marbury Mere in 1973, during sewerage works. Mr B R Davies drew a section (see 1). Road consisted of layers of roughly shaped logs laid over brushwood. Cobbles overlaid the wood but no evidence if these were secondary. No dating evidence (1).
