Summary

Grade II* listed farmhouse built in the late C17 with later alterations. The two storeys and attic are brick built with a slate roof. There is also a late 17th century barn built in a mixture of stone and brickwork, and oak boarded timber framing with a slate roof.

Full Description

Farmhouse, late C17 with alterations. Brick with slate roof. Two storeys and attic. Two bays, double-pile plan. Sandstone plinth, brick bands at first floor and over first floor gable windows. Three light wood mullion and transom windows with stepped stone heads and label moulds. Twin gables with stone copings and moulded kneelers. Interior has large inglenook beam and bevelled beams at ground and first floors. Timbers in internal wall above first floor level. Queen post trusses but some reused timbers. Barn, late C17. Mixture of stone and brickwork, and oak boarded timber framing with slate roof. Two storeys, four bays. Stone ground floor, timber first floor. Trusses have tie beams and high collars with four studs between (1).
