The Hall of Shaw may be the same as the moat, indicated by "Moatfield" in Basford. There is also placename evidence that mentions a mill of Schawe, this may be on the site of a later mill, Crotia Mill.

Full Description
The Hall of Shaw may be the same as the moat, indicated by Moatfield in Basford. Early placename evidence gives a mill of Schawe (1) which may be on the site of a later mill, Crotia Mill, SJ 724 529 (2).
