Summary

Grade I listed 19th century Castle. A very successful and deceptive 19th century castle built 1844-50 by A Salvin for John Tollemache. The buildings are arranged round three sides of a sub-rectangular courtyard and entered through a gatehouse in the south-west. A separate chapel on south side is linked to the remainder by curtain wall.

Full Description

Peckforton Castle. The most successful and deceptive of English C19 castles built 1844-50 by A Salvin for John Tollemache. The buildings are arranged round three sides of a sub-rectangular courtyard, entered through a gatehouse in the south-west. Separate chapel on south side linked to remainder by curtain wall.
