Full Description
Millhey Farmhouse, Barton Road. Probably early C17, altered. Oak small framing to l.5 storey cross-wing left, C18 or early C19 central wing of l.5 storeys and two rooms of brick painted as timber frame; small one-storey C19 wing. Steep slate roofs. Paired principal rafters on gable of cross- wing suggest roof was raised 0.5m, probably C18. Small-pane casements, softwood boarded doors. Interior: Front room of cross-wing has chamfered oak main beam, rear room a stopped ovolo main beam of oak. Full architectural desciption (1).
