Full Description
Cast Flanged Axe of Early Bronze Age type. Diagonal fluting on shaft and transverse furrowing between the flanges. Blade and butt end decayed. Length, 12.9cms; width across blade 6.9cms; thickness 1.2cms. Found by metal detector just belowthe turf in a newly ploughed field. Findspot uncertain. Illustrated (1).
