Hoard of 26 coins found in a sandpit before 1881. Most of those identified of Constantius II and constans, latter of FEL TEMP REPARATIO type and therefore, post AD 348.

The late Mr Charles Laxton had 26 Roman coins that were found in a sand hole at Cholmondeston, not far from the Roman road named Whatfield Pavement, but no particulars as to the time and place of the discovery can be found. They were briefly examined by JP Earwalker, and were said to be of the Constantine family, most of them being of the FEL. TEMP. REPARTIO. Type.
