Monument record 180/0/7 - Finds of wood, Snow Hill

The construction of a deep shaft was watched in 1982. This went to a considerable depth through grey-black crumbley soil. Quantities of wood were found in the soil, some like posts or props. No finds made. In known area of salt-making but no direct evidence of this.
