Monument record 1180/0/1 - Cropmark in Brereton Parish
Please read our guidance about the use of Cheshire Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A dark circular cropmark c.45m in diameter is visible on an aerial photograph dating from 1946. This may be the site of a Bronze Age round barrow levelled by ploughing. Cropmarks are visible changes in the growth of vegetation or colour of soil that may indicate a buried feature. These distinctions can usually only be identified from Aerial Photographs.
