Summary

Complete cup found at a depth of 6-8ft (1.8 - 2.4m) in the peat of Congleton Moss. The cup is barrel-shaped with a fluted handle in a light stone coloured, thin, hard fabric with slight glaze.

Ancient cup found at a depth of 6-8ft in the peat of Congleton Moss. Cream/light stone coloured, thin, hard fabric with slight glaze. Form barrel-shaped with a fluted handle, 3.3/4 ins high, 2.1/4 ins diameter. Find spot did not appear to be disturbed. (Includes sketch)
