Full Description
Broomfield Farmhouse. Small country house. Late 17th century. Red Flemish Bond brick and coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, with a slate roof. Entrance front of six bays. Ashlar stringcourses between floors and ashlar quoins. Interior: ground floor rooms have ovolo-moulded ceiling beams with ogee end-stops. Central hallway has a closed string staircase with spiral twist balusters and newel posts with a moulded handrail. Full architectural description (1).
