A mid to late seventeenth century farmhouse built of coursed sandstone rubble with a slate roof (originally thatched). It is a two storey building which was originally in two cells, but has had extensions and additions in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Entrance front: twentieth century porch to right with glazed door. To left of this, at ground floor level, is one three-light and one two-light casement window. There is one nineteenth century two-light gabled dormer window to the first floor on the right hand side. The left hand gable end has moulded ashlar kneelers and coping and a two-light nineteenth century casement window placed within a larger window opening, partially blocked with brickwork. The rear has a rendered plinth and a twentieth century doorway on the right hand side with an ashlar lintel. To the left is one single-light window and at far left a single-light inglenook window with a chamfered ashlar surround, now blocked, to the right of which is the end of the bressumer beam.

The farm house is depicted on the tithe map for Odd Rode township. The accompanying award describes it as 'two cottages and two gardens'.
