Full Description
Post Medieval pot sherds found while digging 45-60 cms down, in the garden of 20 Roman Way in April 1973. Sherds consist of a rim sherd of Staffordshire white salt-glazed stoneware plate, c.1740; 4 body sherds & 3 rim sherds of Staffordshire buff ware, of first half of 18th century; 3 rim sherds, 1 handle & 7 body sherds of 'iron-glazed' pancheons of the 18th century; & an iron nail, 2 pieces of iron wire & possibly an iron file (1). Published grid reference is incorrect (2).
