Probably seventeenth century. Nineteenth century ‘black and white’ sham timber frame refronting to earlier timber frame. Painted cement panels; original stone base; two storeys; gable on left-hand side with scalloped barge-boards; five modern wood casement windows; nineteenth century canted bay window to left of ground storey; three Plain doorways, No 8 with radial fanlight and 6-panelled door, the others modern; plain eaves, modern tiles. Covered-way to right of No 8. A hoard of gold coins was discovered here in 1956 which consisted of seven James I laurels and eleven Charles I unites (see CHER 164/0/14). Nos 6 to 14 (even) form a group.
