Full Description
King Street - Middlewich to Chesterton section. Various authorities have suggested that the present A56 in the Church Lawton area is based on a Roman line. These are summarised by Watkin. Special note is given to Street Lane and Street Forge NGR 806 586 and to Lawton Pavement not now given on OS map (1).
