Full Description
Construction work along Nun's Road recorded evidence of a substantial stone wall approximately 10m north of the junction with Black Friars Lane. The wall was identified at a depth of 2.4m and was on a north-south alignment approximately parallel with the City Wall (3)
Although no dating evidence was recovered, it was originally thought to be associated with the Roman building at Black Friars lane, however it has more recently been linked to the precinct wall of the medieval friary. (5)
